The Highest Standard for Replacing Missing Teeth

It’s important to realize that teeth are for more than smiling; they also help you eat and speak, not to mention they play an important role in regulating your dental health. This means that replacing teeth is about more than restoring their appearance; their function also has to be taken into account. Dental implants are often recommended for replacing teeth because they replace the whole tooth, from root to crown, which means they will look and feel completely natural. To schedule a consultation to see if you can benefit from dental implants, give our Industry office a call.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants refer to small, screw-shaped posts made of surgical grade titanium that can be surgically placed into a patient’s jawbone. Since titanium can fuse safely with bone tissue, this means that the posts actually become replacement tooth roots that are capable of supporting a custom-made dental restoration. Keep in mind that in order to receive dental implants, patients need to have enough jawbone tissue to support the posts, as well as healthy gums. However, with optimal care, dental implants have the potential to last for several decades, making them the only “permanent” tooth replacement option.

The 4 Step Dental Implant Process

  • Initial Dental Implant Consultation – Not every patient can immediately receive implants, so you’ll need to first attend a consultation with Dr. Lee so that your dental health can be evaluated.
  • Dental Implant Surgery – We can place dental implants right here in our Industry office, with the help of guided implant surgery. This ensures that the implant(s) and corresponding restorations are positioned with exceptional accuracy and care.
  • Dental Implant Osseointegration/Abutment – Following the surgery, your mouth will need time for the implants to fuse with your jawbone. Once this osseointegration occurs, you’ll return to receive your abutments, which are placed on top of the posts to hold the replacement teeth.
  • Delivery of Dental Implant Restoration(s) – Dental implants can restore any number of teeth on one or both arches. Once everything has healed, you’ll be ready to receive your custom-made restoration that will look and function just like your natural teeth!

Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants don’t just fill the gaps in your smile—they also come with many unique advantages that traditional restorations can’t always match, including:

  • Dental implants can prevent the jawbone from deteriorating further following tooth loss.
  • Dental implants restore most of your original bite power, meaning you’ll be able to eat a healthy, varied diet with ease.
  • With the right care, dental implants can last for several decades or even a lifetime.
  • They are the most natural-looking tooth replacement available, with no noticeable clips or plates needed to keep them secure.
